Do you think WA should be an independent country?

During history class I remember reading that in the colonial times WA once tried to apply for independence, but Britain rejected its application because it part of the commonwealth and send in troops to make sure they don't try anything. Now with the mining boom, mainly in WA, all their massive wealth is siphon off to other States as new laws put in by Federal government, leaving less hospitals and schools etc for people in WA. The federal government has a law that basically says secession is illegal, which basically means they can send in the military if they want to. Do you think there should be a referendum to appeal this law?
