Northern Cali Summer Trip?

I would like to go somewhere this summer in Northern California where we can stay in furnished cabins. Any suggestions? Yosemite was our first choice but its out of the question because its fully booked currently- and hard to get reservations this late. We would also like a place like that where the scenery and surroundings are awesome. Thanks for any ideas!
