Why is the show Jersey Shore so.....?

Why is the show Jersey Shore so popular when it is so stupid? The fact that people can watch this show for and hour 1 for how ever many days it is on sickens me. Every on at my high school and my friends love it! Its RETARDED. If you don't know what it is I'll explain...There are guys and girls.They live in a Beach.they go to a dance club. The have sex then fight. that's every episode in a nutshell.Also isn't this show kinds for no lifers? I mean why watch it on tv when you can really do it? Please someone just tell me why people like this Dumb show and what the point of it is.
